वि.एम सालगावकरान 1942 इसवींत पोर्तुगीस गोवांत e Irmao Ltda स्थापन केलें. नंतर तें वि.एम.साल्गावकार आनी ब्रदर्स प्रैयवेट लिमिटेड(VMSB) नांवान वळखतात. आयज तो भारतांत बृहत उद्यम जावन वाडलां. 1952 इसवींतअ 16,500 टन लोखंड जपाना देशाच्च्या निप्पोन कंपनीक केलें. आनी आयज तांचे निर्यात 2 मिलियन टन पावलां. वि. एम. सालगावकरान 1956 इसवींत सालगावकर फ़ूटबॅल क्लब स्थापन केलें. आइ-लीग खेळचे यें व्यवसायिक फ़ूटबॅल क्लब गोवा राज्याचें वास्को शहरांत आस. ह्या संस्थेचो आडळीत वि.एम. सालगावकर ग्रूप ऑफ़ कंपनीस करता. ह्या संस्थेंत फ़ुट्बॅल खेळचाक तरबेत दितात. ह्या संस्थेक फ़ेडरेशन कप (1988, 89, 97, 2011), डुरांड कप, रोवर्स कप मेळां.
वि.एम. सालगावकर ज्ञानज्योती शिक्षण यवजण उच्छ शिक्षण घेवचाक विद्यार्थींक आर्थीक मदत करतात. दुबळे भुरग्यांक समवस्त्र, शिक्षणाक आधार आनी वाहन व्यवस्था करतात.
Vasudev Mahadeva Salgaocar was a famous businessman of Goa. He was the founder and Chairman of the V. M. Salgaocar Group of Companies, active mainly in iron ore mining, coal mining and wind energy.
V.M.Salgaocar e Irmao Ltda was established in 1942 in Portuguese Goa by Vasudev M. Salgaocar. It was later renamed V.M.Salgaocar & Bro.Pvt.Ltd.(VMSB) and went to become India’s first vertically integrated mining operation spanning exploration,mechanised ore extraction, processing, multi-modal logistics and export capabilities. In 1952, the Group exported its first consignment of 16,500 metric tons of iron ore to Nippon Corporation, Japan. Later the Group had achieved 2 million tons of export, making it the leader in the state. V.M. Salgaocar founded Salgaocar football club in 1956. A professional football club who play in I-League, are based in Vasco, Goa, is owned by the V. M. Salgaocar Group of Companies. This club has won the Fedaration cup (1988, 89, 97, 2011), Durand cup, Rovers cup.
V.M. Salgaocar Jnyan Jyoti education scheme has helped several students pursue their dream of higher education. Needy students avail the benefit of assistance in kind through the distribution of uniforms, educational aids and transport fecilities.
