राजकीय जीवन

मान स्म्मान
सुरेश प्रभुले सेवा वळखून ताका साभार मान स्म्मान लाभलेत. 2014 थावन 2017 पर्यंत राष्ट्रीय स्थरार चलयिले नियाळांत अती उत्तम साधक मंत्र्यां पयकी पयले पांचांत तागेले नांव आस्ता आशीलें. 2016 इस्वींत ताका गौड सारस्वत ब्राह्मण समाज महारथ प्रशस्ती लाभले. इंडियन ऑफ़ द इयर 2017 पुरस्कार, 13वे लोकसभाचो अती उत्तम संसद सनद आजतक टि.वि. चानेला दाकून फावो जाला (2004). 2001 ऑगस्ट 27 इंडिया टुडे पत्रिकेन 2न्ड बेस्ट पर्फ़ोर्मींग मिनिस्टर म्हणुन पत्रिकेंत प्रकट केलां.
Suresh Prabhu is an Indian politician and Rajyasabha member. He was formerly Minister of Railways, Minister of commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation in the Modi’s government. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1996. He is a Chancellor of Rishihood University. Suresh prabhu was born on 11-07-1953 to Prabhakar Prabhu and Sumathi Prabhakar Prabhu in Mumbai. Prabhu completed his education in Mumbai. He was All India 11th rank holder in CA exam.
Political Career
Suresh Prabhu has been repeatedly elected as a member of Parliament from Rajapur Loka sabha constituency in Maharashtra as a member of Shivasena, later he joined the BJP in 2014. He was a minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee government from 1998 to 2004- Industry Minister, Minister of Environment and Forests, Minister of Fertilizers and chemicals, Power, Railways, Commerce & Industry and civil Aviation. In 2014, he was sworn in as Railway minister in the Narendra Modi government. He has brought tremendous changes in Indian Railways during his tenure. He has worked very hard and honestly in every department which he held as a minister. Suresh Prabhu has held several government and semi government positions which include the chairmanship of Maharashtra State Finance commission, Saraswat Co-operative Bank, Member of the Maharashtra Tourism development Board, among others. He is part of 16 global organisations like – “Global Water Partnership, GLOBE, UK, World Economic Forum (WEF), Global Industries Council, UN Advisor, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), United Nations Industrial development Organisations (UNIDO), Global Forum for Farmers, President, Asia Energy Forum, United Nations Committee of Biodiversity, World federation of UNESCO. He is also a member of board of Advisors of India’s International Movement to united Nations (IIMUN).
Suresh Prabhu has published many books including – 1)Students Unrest at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai. 2) Causes and Cosequences of Mass Umemployment of Youths at CCIVS, UNESCO, Paris. 3) Problems of Youth in Third World Countries at CCIVS, Monorovia. 4) Contribution of NGO’s Towards Peace- Asian Youth Seminar, New Delhi. He has published several columns on finance and economy in the daily “Mid-Day” and leading Marathi dailies.
Honours
Suresh Prabhu was declared “Best Member of Parliament in 13th Lok Sabha” in 2004 by Aaj Tak, TV channel of India. He was awarded “Indian of the Year 2017”. He was constantly featured in the list of top 5 ministers in India from 2014 to 2017 in terms of both performance and accessibility in nation wide surveys. He has received the Goud Saraswat Brahmin Samaj Maharatha Award, 2016. He is ranked as the 2nd best performing Minister in India Today’s report (27-08-2001).
