वेद, वेदांत, योगशास्त्र, वैद्यशास्त्र, सस्यशास्त्र आनी रागशास्त्रांत अद्वितीय म्हणून ख्याती घेतिलो व्यक्ती पंडीत तारानाथ. तो 06-06-1891 इसवेंत मंगळूरांत जल्मलो. सारस्वत ब्राह्मण समुदायाचे रंगराव तागेले बापाय आनी आवय राजीवम्मा. स्वातंत्र्या सेनानी, हरिजन उद्धारक, पत्रि्कोद्यमी, नाटककार, साहिती आनी शिक्षण तज्ञ जावन आशीलो ताका साभार 18 भास येतशिलें.
वृत्ती जीवन
मॅट्रीक परीक्षे उप्रांत हैदराबाद निजाम कोलेजांत दोन वरस शिक्षण घेतलें. मागीर वैद्यकीय शिक्षणाक दाखल जालो. उप्रांत तेच वैद्यकीय संस्थेंत प्रदर्षक जावनु वृत्ती जीवन आरंभ केलें. नंतर आयुर्वेद शास्त्र अध्ययन केलें. वैद्यकीय शिकचे पयलें तबला शिकूका म्हळेले नियम वैद्यान घालेल्यान ताका संगीत क्षेत्रांतय आसक्ती वाडली. तारानाथ बैबल, कुरान आदी ग्रंथांत अद्वितीय पांडित्य पावला. ताराना्थान रामपुर म्हळेले गांवांत प्रेमायतन म्हळाले आश्रम स्थापन केलां. उप्रांत प्रेमा विद्यापीठ आरंभ केलें. थंय आयुर्वेद, योग, समाजशास्त्र, पत्रिकोद्यम विशयांत मुक्त शिक्षणाक अवकाश दिता. दीनबंधु कबीर नाटक रचन करुन स्वतः कबीराले पात्र केलां. हें नाटक गांधिजीले मुखार प्रदर्शन जालां. मोहन शास्त्र, इन्साफ़ ताणे बरयिलें इतर नाटकं. धर्म संभव, प्रसिद्ध रसौशधिगळु, सुलभ चिकित्से, तायंदिरिगे पत्रगळु आनी हेरं पुस्तक बरयल्यात. अमेरिकाचे एशिया पत्रिकेंत भारतीय संस्कृती बद्दल बरयिलें लेखन प्रकट जालां.
मान – सम्मान
कर्नाटकाचे राजाराम मोहन रॉय म्ह्ळेले प्रशंसेक पात्र जाला. न्यूयार्काचे पार्लिमेंट ऑफ़ रिलिजन्स संस्थे थावन विश्वधर्म सम्मेळनांत भाशण करचाक आमंत्रण आयिलें, हो अवकाश स्वामी विवेकानंदाले नंतर मेळलो एकैक व्यक्ती तारानाथ जावनस. परंतु त्या वेळार बळ्ळारी आसपास कालरा रोग आयिल्यान रोगिले शुश्रूषा खातीर तो अवकाश नकारता.
Pandit Taranath was an expert of ved, vedanta, Medicine, Yoga, Botany and music. He was born on 6th June 1891 in Mangalore. Parents Rangarao and Rajeevamma belong to Konkani Saraswat community. He was also known as a freedom fighter, educationist, social reformer, journalist, actor, writer, playwright. He knew 18 languages.
career
After passing his metric exam he went to Hyderabad. There he got admission in Hyderabad Nizam college. Later he joined to medical college. In the same institute he joined as demonsrator job. Few years later he got intrest in Ayurved medicine. He learns tabla to fulfill his guru’s condition to teach Ayurveda. He had a great knowledge of Bible, Quran and other religious books. Taranath established Premayatan Ashram in Rampur. Later he starts Prema vidyapeetha to teach Ayurveda, yoga, Sociology, Journalism free of cost. Deenabandhu Kabeer drama written and acted by Taranath was also staged infront of Mahatma Gandhi. Mohan Shastra, Insaf are other dramas written by Taranath. Dharmasambhava (book on social reform), Prasiddha Rasaushadhigalu, sulabha chikitse, Tayandirige patragalu are his famous works. His articles on Indian Culture were published in “Asia” journal of America.
Honours
Pandit Taranath was also Known as Rajaram Mohan Roy of Karnataka. He was invited by Parliament of religions from Newyork to deliver a lecture in Vishwadharma sammelana as a representative of India. After Swami Vevekanand this honour was given only to Pandit Taranath.
