डा. तानाजी हलर्नकर ख्यात कोंकणीचो विद्वांस, अंकणकार आनी कोंकणी विश्वकोशाचे संपादक जावनशीलो. तानाजी 18-09-1943 इसवींत पोंडा तालूकाच्या बंडोरांत जल्मलो. तानाजीन गोवा राज्य आनी पश्चीम तटवर्तींत शाळा शिक्षणांत कोंकणी भास हाडच्यांत खूब परिश्रम घेतलां. ताणे कोंकणी भाशेचें वैज्ञानीक आनी तांत्रीक परिभाशा वाडोवचो वावर केला. तो कोंकणी भाशा साहित्य सुवाळो संघटन करतालो. कोंकणी पुस्तक संपादन केलां. गोवा ग्राम पंचायता विशयांत संशोधना प्रबंध कोंकणीन बरोवन पिएच.डी. संपादन केलां.
साहितीक वावर
तानाजीन कोंकणी विश्वकोश रचने खातीर 12 वरस वावर केलां. गोवांत कोंकणी आडळीत भास जाल्या उप्रांत आडळितांत वापरचाक कोंकणींत वैज्ञानीक आनी तांत्रीक शब्दाक परिभाशा तयार करच्यांत प्रमुख पात्र घेतलो. तागेले कोंकणी भाशा वावरांत आशीले उत्साह विश्वकोश, राष्ट्रीय भाशांतर समिती आनी कोंकणी भाशा मंडलाक योग्य मार्ग दाकोवपाक लाभलें. तागेले योगदान कोंकणी परिषद मुखेन कोंकणी उलोवपी लोक आनी इतरांक एक मर्गसूची जालें. तानजीन संपादन केलेलें कोंकणी विश्वकोश 3632 पानं, 4 खंड आसून गोवा विश्वविद्यालयान प्रकट केलां. ह्या कोंकणी विश्वकोशांत जगत्याचे संक्षिप्त परिचय आनी गोवा, कोंकणी भास, संस्कृती, लोकवेद, इतिहास, आनी भौगोळी्कांचे विस्तृत परिचय मेळता.
मान सम्मान
तानाजी कोंकणी मंडलाचो अध्यक्ष जावनशीलो. मंगळूरांत घडलेलें 23वे अखील भारतीय कोंकणी परिषदाचे अध्यक्ष आशीलो (2002). गोवा कोंकणी अकाडेमीचो उपाध्यक्ष जावनशीलो. मंगळूराचे विश्व कोंकणी केंद्रांत कोंकणी भास आनी शिक्षण विभा्गाचो गौरव निर्देशक जावनशीलो. तानाजीक गोवा राज्याचे संस्कृती पुरस्कार लाभलां (2012). थोमस स्टीफ़न्स कोंकणी केंद्र थावन कोंकणी पुरस्कार लाभलां. गोवा कोंकणी अकाडेमीचे साहित्य प्रज्ञा पुरस्कार लाभलां.
Dr. Tanaji Harlankar was a Konkani scholar, columnist and former editor of the Konkani Encyclopedia (Konkani Vishwakosh). Tanaji was born on 18-09-1943 in Bandora in Ponda Taluk, Goa. Tanaji played a prominent role in the pro-Konkani language agitation in the Goa of the 1980s and also in the wider movement for the promotion of Konkani language in Goa and other parts of western coastal India. His other contributions include helping develop scientific and technical terminology for Konkani. He was involved with organising Konkani literary events, authored books, and did his Ph.D. on the gram panchayats of Goa state.
Literary Works
Tanaji has spent his 12 years of his life in preparation of the “Konkani Encyclopedia”. Tanaji also helped develop scientific and technical terminology in the Konkani language, a task undertaken by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Administrative Terminology Commission. This helped in using the technical words required in administration after Konkani in the Devanagari script was granted official language status in Goa. His intense work for the Konkani movement has brought benefits both to the Konkani Vishwakosh and the National translation mission through his guidance for the Konkani Bhasha Mandal. Konkani Vishwakosh, a four volume hard copy encyclopedia totalling in all 3632 pages, has been published by the Goa Universty. The Vishwakosh has served as a primary source of information. It encompasses the world’s information in brief and detailed information on Goa, Konkani, Goan culture, folklore, history and geography.
Honours
Tanaji was president of Konkani Bhasha Mandal. He was the president of the 23rd session of the All India Konkani Parishad held in Mangalore (2002). He served as the vice- president of the Goa Konkani Akademi. The Mangalore based World Konkani Centre also appointed him as honorary director of Konkani Bhas and Shikshan. Tanaji was awarded the Goa State Cultural Award in 2012. The Thomas Stephens Konkani kendra bestowed him the Konkani Puraskar. He was awarded the Goa Konkani Akademi Sahitya Pradnya puruskar award.
