ब्लेसियस एम. डिसोज़ा

ख्यात राजकारणी ब्लेसियस डिसोज़ा भारताचे राष्ट्रीय कोंग्रेसाचो सांदो आशीलो. कर्नाटक सरकारांत मंत्री पदवी घेतिलो पयलो रोमन केथोलीक म्हळाले ख्याती ताका पावता. तो 22-02-1938 इसवेंत मंगळुरांत जल्मलो. बापय ख्यात उद्यमी ए.आर.डि’सोज़ा. ताणे बि.कोम. पदवी सांत लुवीस आनी एल.एल.बी. पदवी मुंबयचे सिद्धार्था ला कोलेजा दाकून जोडलें.

वृत्ती जीवन
1962 इसवी दाकून 17 वरस ब्लेसियस डिसोज़ा कोंग्रेस पक्षाचो कोर्पोरटर जावनु मंगळुर नगरपालिकेंत काम केलां. 1972-79 तांय़ तो नगरपालिकेचो अध्यक्ष आशीलो तो दक्षिण कन्नड जिल्हा कोंग्रेस कमिटीचो अध्यक्ष जावनशिलो. उप्रांत विधान परिषताचे सांदो जालो. 1980-85 तांय विधान सभेंत मंगळूरचो शासक जावनशीलो. 1991 इसवींत वीरप्प मोयलीन मुख्य मंत्री आसताना कर्नाटक सरकाराचे कानून मंत्री जालो. ताणे कानून मंत्री आशीले काळार महिन्याक 2,500 कडत मेकळें केलाले विक्रम साधन केलेले कीर्ती ताका पावता. 1992-94 तांय तो कार्मीक मंत्री जावनशीलो. नगर केंद्र ग्रंथालयाचो अध्यक्ष, कर्नाटक टेलिकम्यूनिकेशनाचे सल्ला मंडळीचे सांदो, हिंदू कुष्ट निवारण संघाचे उपाध्यक्ष, सरकारी वेनलोक आडळीत मंडळीचो अध्यक्ष आनी लेडीगोशन आस्पत्रेचो सांदो, मेंगलोर पोर्ट ट्रस्टाचो सांदो, ओरिस्सा राज्याचे चुनावणा समिती सांदो, गोवा राज्याचे चुनावणा समितीचे अध्यक्ष, दक्षिण कन्नडा हॉकी संघाचे अध्यक्ष, अशें ताणे साभार संघ संस्थेचो अध्यक्ष आनी सांदो जावनु खूब वावर केलां.

Blasius M. D'Souza

Blasius M. D’Souza was a famous politician, a member of the Indian National Congress from Mangalore. He was the first Roman Catholic minister in the Karnataka state government. He was born on 22-02-1938 to A.R.D’souza, a, prominent businessman in Mangalore. He was graduated with B.Com. degree in 1959 from St.Aloysius college and earned his LL.B. from Siddhartha Law College, Mumbai, in 1961.

Career
Blasius D’Souza entered politics as a Mangalore city council member in 1962, from congress Party, where he served for 17 years. 1972-79 he was the Council President. He served as a District Chairman of congress committee in Dakshina Kannada district. He was a member of Legislative Council in Karnataka Legislature and represented Mangalore as a M.L.A for 9 years. In 1991 he was appointed as Law Minister of Karanataka in the Veerappa Moily government. He cleared an average of 2500 files a month and created a record during his tenure as a minister. In 1992, he was appointed as Minister for Labour. He was chairman, City Central Library, Mangalore,Senate Member, Mangalore University, Member, Mangalore Telecommunication Advisory Board, Vice – chairman, Hind Kusht Nivarana Sangha Mangalore, Chairman, Board of Visitors, Govt.Venlock Hospital, Mangalore, Member, Board of Visitors, Lady Goschan Hospital,Mangalore, Member,Mangalore Port Trust, New Mangalore, Member Organisation Election Committee for Orissa State 1999, Obsrver Goa Legislative Assembly Election 1999 and he was member of many more institutions.
