बंटवाळ रघुराम प्रभु मैसुराचे ख्यात गणेश बीडीचे संस्थापक जावनशीलो. तो दानी, धार्मीक, उदारी आनी सामाजीक काळजी आशीलो व्यक्ती जावनशिलो. ताणे प्रामाणीकता आनी परिश्रमान गणेश बीडी उद्यम दक्षीण भारत आनी विदेशांत वाडयलां. तो 5 डिसेंबर 1906 इसवेंत बंटवाळांत जल्मलो. बंटवाळ मुकुंद प्रभु आनी तुळसीबाय दंपतिंचो सुपुत्र जावनसा.
वृत्ती जीवन
रघुरामालें शिक्षण तिनी क्लास पर्यंत बंटवाळांत जालें. दुबळेपण कारण शिक्षण अर्धार राबलें. शेजारी बत्तु मूल्या लागी बीडी बांदूचे शिकून बीडी तयार करून विक्री आरंभ केलें. उप्रांत ताणे आनी दोगांक बीडी बांदूचाक घेवनु तयार जालेले बीडी अम्टाडी, सिद्धकट्टे सांत, ब्रह्मरकूट्लु आनी तुंबे गांवांत चलत वचून विक्री करचाक लागलो. 1923 आनी 24 इसवेंत बंटवाळ गांवांत आयिले पूराक तांगेले घर आनी अंगडी सर्व निर्नाम जालें. रघुरामाले आवयीन आपले गुप्तनिधी रघुरामक दीवन नवो उद्यम आरंभ करचाक आशीर्वाद केलो. उप्रांत आरंभ जालालो गणेश बीडी उद्यम गांव गांवाक, शहर शहराक वाडतच गेल्लो. 1941 इसवींत ताणे हो उद्यम मैसूर शहरांत आरंभ केलें. उप्रांत मैसूर राज्य आनी इतर राज्यांत वाडत आयलें. आपले संबंधी बंटवाळ माधव शेणै तागेले उद्यमाचो भागीदार जालो. बंटवाळ, पाणेमंगळूर, मंगळूर, तिन्नवेल्ली, कासरगोड, तलचेरी, कण्णूर मैसूर अशें कर्नाटक केरळ आनी तमिळनाडु राज्यांत आशीले आपले बीडी कार्खानेचे कार्मीकांक बरो पगार, बोनस, भुरग्यांक शिक्षण वेतन, घराचे सौलभ्य, चेल्ये चेरडुंवालें लग्नाक धनसहाय करचो हितचिंतक जावनशीलो. तीन राज्याचे साभार गांवांत बीडी खातीर स्वताचे गोदाम, लेबल, बेंडरोल, पेकेटाक कागद छापचाक स्वताचे मुद्रणालय आनी बीडी व्होरचाक स्वताचे लोरी व्यवस्थे खातीर आनंद ट्रान्स्पोर्ट एन्ड प्रिंटर्स स्थापन केलें. बंटवाळ गांवांत ल्हान रूपार आरंभ जालालो बीडी उद्यम रघुरामाले परिश्रमान देश विदेशांत विस्तार रूपार वाडलां. ताणे बंटवाळाचे तिरुमल वेंकटरमण स्वामी देवळाचे अंबल जीर्णोद्धार आनी नूतन गोपुराचे बांदपाक उदार जावन देणगी दिल्या.
Bantwal Raghuram Prabhu was a founder of Mangalore Ganesh Beedi Works, Mysore. He was born on 5th December 1906 in Bantwal. Bantwal Mukunda Prabhu and Tulasibai were his parents. He was a philanthropist, religious and has concern for poor people. His honesty and sincere hard work expanded his business all over India and in Foriegn Countries also.
Career
Due to poverty Raghuram persued his education till 3rd standard. He learnt the manufacturing of beedies from his neighbour Battu Moolya. Initially he sold his beedies in his father’s shop. Gradually he appointed two persons to manufacture the beedies with him and sold it in nearby villeges – Amtadi, Siddhakatte market, Brahmarakutlu and Tumbe. In 1923-24 Bantwal was continously affected with flood and Raghuram’s family lost their home and they came to street. At that time his mother gave him her savings to establish a new business. Her blessings made a miracle and his new venture Mangalore Ganesh Beedi works started to grow. He opened his branches in Panemagaluru, Mangalore, Tinnavelli, Kasargod, Kannur, Talcheri and Mysore. His branches were in 3 states including Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. He used to give more wages to his employees than other beedi factories. He has concern for his workers. He gave all the fecilities to his workers including bonus, quarters and scholarship to their children . He established his own godowns in all the branches spreading over 3 states. He established Anand Transport and Printers for the printing of labels, bendroll and packet also trucks for transportation of beedies. He donated generously to construct outer yard and Gopura for Sri Tirumala Venkataramana Swamy Temple, Bantwal.
