Bantwal Madhav Shenoy

Bantwal Madhav Shenoy was a enterpreneur, philanthropist and partner of Mangalore Ganesh Beedi Pvt Ltd, Mysore. He was born on 29th June 1900 to Bantwal Janaradhana Shenoy and Padmavathi in Bantwal. He persued his education till matriculation.

Career
Madhav Shenoy was accountant in the court of Sri Krishna Raja Wadeyar, King of Mysore State. In 1940, he left the job and joined as partner of Beedi Industry established by Bantwal Raghuram Prabhu. He improved the Beedi business with new packing, new logo and style in the name of – Managalore Ganesh Beedi Works in Mysore. He was responsible for expansion of their Beedi Business. He was very much concerned about the society. He has established Kamakshi Charitable Hospital with 16 beds in Saraswati Puram, Mysore. It was his brain child and today It has grown to 220 bedded hospital under the administration of Sulochana Madhav Shenoy Charitable Trust. As a religious person, Madhav Shenoy has deposited a fund to perform Trikal Puja without interruption to Lord Sri Tirumala Venkataramana Swamy at Bantwal, which was his native place. He has established Sri Ganapathi Temple near Kamakshi Charitable Hospital, Saraswati Puram, Mysore. He has generously donated to Sri Venkataramana Swamy Degree College, Bantwal.

Bantwal Madhav Shenoy High School is established in Siddartha Nagar, Mysore in the memory of Madhav Shenoy.
